HMS Honors Club
NEW INFORMATION-------
7th grade Invitations were given out on Friday, 1/31/2020. If you did not recieve an invitation and thought you should have please send me an email. Turn in forms and dues to Ms. Mitchum in room 500 NO LATER THAN Friday, 2/11/2020.
Induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, 2/20/2020 in the Media Center during 7th period.
**8th grade- Next meeting 2/4/2020 at 8:00AM. Don't forget your service project idea paragraphs. We will also work on a service project during the meeting so bring your service hour sheet.

Henderson Middle School Honors Club consists of 7th and 8th graders. 6th grade students(rising 7th grade students) will have the opportunity to be inducted at the the beginning of the school year.
Meetings:
Our monthly meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of every month at 8:00am in the Cafeteria. Students must have their Honors Club Pass to enter the school building.
Requirements:
-attend monthly meetings (we will have sign in sheets at the meetings)
-participate in club projects
-complete service hours
- grade point of 4.0 in 6th grade to be invited
Service Hours:
NJHS and Beta are service clubs. Each member must complete 12 hours of community service each year. Each member will be given a form where they are to log their hours of service. Honors Club projects can count towards their hours. Other ideas for community service: volunteer at church, food banks, animal shelters, nursing homes, or recycling centers.
