Cheer Tryouts

Cheerleader tryouts are coming! If you are currently in 6th or 7th grade and want to try out for HMS Cheerleader or Mascot, but did NOT attend the interest meeting, you can pick up a tryout packet in the cafeteria during lunch. Cheer clinics will be held from March 31st thru April 3rd from 4:30 to 5:45 in the gym and tryouts will be held on April 4th. All participants must have a current physical. Please see Coach Brooks in room 508 for more information.

Media Production Class Application

Attention rising 7th graders! Do you like making and editing videos? How would you like to create videos and help produce our morning announcements? If so, now is the time for 6th graders to apply for our 7th Grade Media Production Classes for next school year. The 7th grade class is a pre-requisite for being on our HMS Morning Announcements news team in 8th grade. The number of students accepted to the classes is limited so you must apply.

To show your interest in the class, CLICK HERE to fill out the online interest form. Mr. Mason will then send you an email with more information about supplying writing and/or video samples and teacher recommendations. The deadline to submit your interest form is Friday, April 4th. Join the Technology Student Association!

Interested in Biotech, Computer Aided Design, Coding, Digital Photography, Mass Production, Engineering, Video Game or Website Design? HMS Technology Student Association is recruiting students who are interested in engineering and tech for the 2025 State Leadership Conference in Athens, GA. Students from across the state will converge in March to compete in various competitions. For more information contact Mr. Ernst in room 606 or visit gatsa.org. School Store

Hey students, the school store is back and even better! It is open on Mondays and Thursdays during all lunches in the cafeteria. You can purchase snacks, school supplies, spirit wear, and other fun items. And new this year, parents can set up School Store purchase cards to make payments easier. Other credit or debit cards and cash are also accepted.
