Pennies for Patients Extension
Help us finish strong with our Pennies for Patients Campaign for 2019!

HMS Student Council is participating in the Pennies for Patients Campaigns.  We need Henderson Middle School students to collect pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters during the Pennies for Patients campaigns benefiting the Leukemia Society.  Each class has been given their own box to collects their coins.  The class who collects the most wins Oliver Garden party.  Henderson Middle school goal is to raise 750.00 dollars.  Attach is Pennies to Patients information.  The collection has been extended to Monday, April 15th.   CLICK HERE to download the flyer.

 Here are 10 Ways to Support Your Child during their Pennies for Patients Program:
• Talk to your child about the value of giving back.
• Share your child's classroom, school or individual fundraising page with friends and family. See Online Giving for ideas.
• Each day, ask your child about the program.
• Take a coin collection jar to work
• Ask if your child would like to write a letter to their Honored Hero.
• Make a personal donation with a check or online gift.
• Ask your company about matching gifts.
• Ask your child if they have any questions about cancer.
• Encourage your child to explore the For Students section of this Web site.
• Tell them you're proud of them for making a difference!
 
Spring Snack Sack - Fundraiser
Enjoy your Spring Break with little treats and goodies or surprise your friends, teachers, and parents with a Spring Snack Sack. A $2.00 Sack includes: candy. A $3.00 Sack includes: a drink, bag chips, and candy.  A $5.00 Sack includes: a drink, bag of chips, honey bun, rice krispy treat, and candy. 
 
Turn in your order form to Mrs. E. Brooks in room 508 beginning Friday, March 25th. MONEY MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR ORDER. No order will be taken after Thursday, March 28th. Your Spring Snack will be delivered as early as fifth period on Friday, March 29th. Teacher and Educational Support Professionals of the Year
Congratulations to Ms. Elma Ruffin for being selected as our HMS Teacher of the Year!  Also, our custodian, Mr. Kenneth Seaborn, was named Educational Support Professional of the Year I and our ELA Academic Coach, Dr. Herschelle Barrios, was named our Educational Support Professional of the Year II.  Congrats to all and thank you for all you do here at Henderson!
