Spanish Language Sign-Up
Attention 6th grade parents! There are still 30 spots open for Spanish in the 2025-2026 school year. The time to sign up is now.  CLICK HERE to fill out the online registration form.   There is also a hard copy form that must be printed and signed by a parent and submitted to the HMS counseling office. CLICK HERE to download the form or pick one up from the counseling office.

Fernbank SST Application

Attention HMS 8th Grade Students and Parents.  Applications are now being accepted for the Fernbank-Scientific Tools and Technology (STT) program for rising 9th grade students! The STT program is a very rigorous, fast paced scientific curriculum, which focuses on life and environmental modules.  If interested, now is the time to sign-up.  Please use the links below to access more information containing registration links.  The application window is February 1st through March 1st and the deadline is firm. All applications must be completed and submitted online by March 1st by 11:59pm.

Lakeside High School Rising 9th Grade Meeting
Class of 2029 rising 9th grade Information Night will be held on November 21st at 6:00pm in the Lakeside High School Cafeteria.  Learn about graduation requirements, tips for freshman success, and exciting opportunities after 9th grade. STEM Application is Now Open

Annual Title I Meeting 2024-2025

Cell Phone Pouch Program
Dear HMS Parents,
The Dekalb County School District is implementing a Cell Phone Pouch program for students. This is a pilot program being rolled out at Henderson Middle School and other DCSD schools.  Our school will be a phone-free space to improve teaching and learning using a cell phone pouch program called Yondr.  This program will be begin at Henderson Middle School on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
