1st Period:--
March 8th--Today is an independent learning/working day.  Let's use this day as a "catch-up" day (teachers will posting your 9-week grades in just a few days).  Ask yourself these questions:
1.  Do I have all of my Readwork assignments done based on "The Run" series?
2.  Have I completed 100 minutes on LightSail this week?
3.  Have I turned in my biography project?

If the answer to all of these questions is a resounding "Yes," then I want you to do the following assignment.  I want you to take out a piece of paper or you can type/print!!  I want you to write a letter to the director of the play that we just saw, "A Tale of Two Cities." The director's name is Brendan Pulsue.  Please write and tell him how you felt about his play, which is based on the novel of the same name by Charles Dickens.  You can also write a letter to your favorite actor if you prefer (feel free to use the play program to refresh your memory).

In a least one paragraph (feel free to write more!) tell him what you liked about the play, and be specific.  What was your favorite part? What was your favorite scene? What do you think one of the messages or THEMES might be in this play? How might this theme relate to our world today?  If there was something that you did not like, feel free to write about that as well.  Directors love constructive criticism!!

I will mail or hand-deliver these letters to the Alliance Theater next week.
