Test Taking Strategies:
1. Relax on the day of the test. Take several deep breathes and be calm.
2. Make sure you understand all the directions.
3. Be sure you know what you are supposed to do before answering a question.
4. Read each question several times, carefully, before answering.
5. Read ALL the question choices before making a decision.
6. If you are not sure of an answer, cross out the choices you are certain are wrong. Then choose your answer from the ones that are left.
7. Check your answers on your answer sheet often to make sure you have not gotten off track and
that you are filling in the answers correctly.
8. Complete the less challenging questions first. the go back and work on the harder questions.
Remember not to spend all of your time on one question. If you are not sure, skip it and go on to
another one. Please don't forget to go back and answer that problem you skipped over.
9. If you finish before time is up, go back and check over your work.
10. Eat before the test.
