Henderson Middle School Selected for National Recognition

Henderson Middle School has been picked as one of the schools within the DCSD and the state of Georgia to participate in the NAEP - National Assessment of Educational Progress. Schools and students are sampled very carefully in order to mirror the demographics of our students in the state of Georgia. Approximately 30 to 40 students at Henderson Middle will take the assessment.

NAEP is the only test that is given to representative samples of fourth- and eighth-grade students in all states across our nation, and both national and state-level results are published in a document commonly known as The Nation’s Report Card.

Parents of the students selected to participate in the assessment will receive notification from the school. The assessment is scheduled to be administered on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. The assessment, in its entirety, is only one day and two class periods. More information regarding the assessment can be found at the link below and on the Georgia Department of Education website.
