CELL PHONE POLICY

• Cell phones are not to be used for personal use during instructional times.

• Cell phones should be turned off and out of sight during instructional and transitional times.

• Cell phones should not be operated during breakfast or lunch.

• Ear buds should be out of sight unless used inside the classroom for instructional purposes.

• If a student violates this schoolwide policy, then:
  • FIRST OFFENSE: The teacher may confiscate the phone and give it back at the end of the day (Connections teachers may give the phone back at the end of the class.
  • SECOND OFFENSE: Parents will need to come pick up the cconfiscated cell phone.
  • SUBSEQUENT OFFENSES: If a student repeatedly violates the cell phone policy, the student will be subject to disciplinary action.
