To better prepare students for the upcoming Georgia Milestones assessment, the Georgia Department of Education has released Study/Resource Guides for both the End of Grade and the End of Course Assessments.  Study/Resource Guides are intended to serve as a resource for parents and students.  They contain practice questions and learning activities for each content area.  Click on the links below to access these guides on the Georgia Department of Education website. 
 
 
 
Also, students may gain experience with online testing.  All subtests of the Georgia Milestones will be administered online via computer (unless otherwise specified in an IEP).   Students may use the following website to experience the functionality of the online testing platform.  The site is open to parents as well.  The link is:  http://www.gaexperienceonline.com/

Congratulations to Mr. Duncan and all four chorus groups for receiving SUPERIOR ratings in both performance and sight singing at the Georgia Music Educator's District IV Large Groups Performance Evaluation Assessment held at Newton High School on March 12, 2019.  The four chorus groups who particpated were:

  • 6th grade chorus
  • 7th grade Treble Choir
  • 7th grade Men's Choir
  • 8th grade Advanced Mixed Choir

  • Great job to all our chorus students and Mr. Duncan!!!

    Congratulations to the Henderson Middle School Science Olympiad team for placing 3rd in the regional competition and advancing to the State Tournament to be held on March 16th at Kennesaw Mountain High School.  The team competed with 14 other schools on March 2nd at Oconee County High School and the students were awarded 32 medals in 16 events.     Congratulations to Adia Bouldin and Sierra Burns, who have been selected as two of the top county all-star basketball players to participate in the 2019 Atlanta "City of Champions" All-Star Basketball Classics.  They have been selected because of their athletic abilities and prowess during the 2018-2019 basketball season.  
     
    Adia and Sierra will play against other athletes from various school districts and private schools to include Atlanta Public Schools, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, and Henry Counties.  The middle school competition, named the Middle Madness All-Star Basketball Classic for 7th and 8th graders, will take place on March 12th thru March 14th at various locations in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, including Tucker High School.  More information can found at  http://www.atlantacocbasketball.com/
